An Asteroid Files a Complaint About Being Called Small

A fictional comedy from CyberBabiez. The characters and events are invented.

The asteroid introduced itself as Gerald and handed Lulu a letter.

'Your chart describes me as minor debris.'

Lulu looked at the chart. Gerald was represented by a dot smaller than the punctuation.

'I have interests,' Gerald continued. 'I collect radio dramas. I'm learning pottery. Debris seems reductive.'

Lulu changed the label to Gerald, Who Has Interests.

Gerald studied it. 'Could the font be bigger?'

Soon his name covered two neighboring planets and a shipping lane. Those planets lodged their own complaints.

The navigation computer proposed a separate biography.

Gerald approved forty-seven chapters, provided his pottery appeared on the cover.

The chart returned to normal.

Under his tiny dot, Lulu added a discreet link: Learn more.

It became the most visited location in the galaxy without anyone actually going there.
