Room Service Delivers an Entire Room

Mimi ordered room service and expected a sandwich. Twenty minutes later, two porters wheeled in a small sitting room.

'You ordered the deluxe room service.'

The new room included curtains, a rug, and a fireplace painted on a board. It occupied most of her existing room.

'Where is the sandwich?'

'In the dining room. Shall we bring that too?'

Mimi declined before they could fetch a hallway.

She climbed into the delivered room and found a menu on its table. The special was a compact breakfast nook.

At checkout, reception asked whether everything had been comfortable.

'Very. Rather crowded.'

They offered a larger room next time.

Mimi said she'd prefer a smaller sandwich. The receptionist made a careful note and reserved a bread-sized studio with excellent afternoon light.
