The Compliment Delivery Arrives at the Wrong Cloud

A fictional comedy from CyberBabiez. The characters and events are invented.

Halo carried a compliment addressed to the cloud that had made yesterday's excellent shade. Unfortunately, every cloud looked vaguely familiar.

The first recipient thanked Halo but admitted it had spent yesterday resembling a potato.

The second had been somewhere over the sea. The third was a cushion in the academy lounge.

Halo checked the address again. It said the helpful cloud, near the other cloud.

This was not enough information.

Professor Fluff suggested thanking the right cloud next time it appeared, and appreciating the others for what they actually did.

The potato cloud received praise for imagination. The sea cloud received praise for travel stories. The cushion was thanked for being comfortable.

The original compliment was eventually delivered. By then, Halo had learned that specific kindness needed better directions than vague enthusiasm.
