A Black Hole Returns the Lost Property

A fictional comedy from CyberBabiez. The characters and events are invented.

A black hole appeared beside the Probably carrying three enormous bags.

'I've been clearing out,' it announced.

Lulu accepted a bent satellite, seventeen umbrellas, and a planet's left mitten. She asked how a planet could lose a mitten.

'They never label anything,' said the black hole.

The last bag contained a small red button. Lulu recognized it immediately. The button had disappeared from her captain's coat yesterday.

'You could have asked before swallowing that.'

'I could have,' the black hole admitted. 'But I have a reputation.'

Lulu offered to sew a pocket onto space so it could organize future discoveries.

The black hole was delighted until she produced a measuring tape.

'Could we do this another day? I'm terrible at standing still for alterations.'
