Captain Lulu Finds the Edge of the Map

A fictional comedy from CyberBabiez. The characters and events are invented.

At the edge of the star map, the Probably met a thick black line. Beyond it lay a bright white emptiness.

'This looks serious,' Lulu said.

The computer scanned the boundary. 'Paper.'

A gigantic pencil appeared and drew another constellation. Someone outside the map sneezed.

Lulu knocked politely on the white space.

'Could we have a destination with a cafe?'

The pencil paused, then sketched a moon with tables.

'And bathrooms,' added the computer, which had learned to be practical.

A door appeared beside the cafe.

Lulu ordered two imaginary lemonades and watched new stars arrive above her.

She had expected a terrifying discovery. Instead, the universe was taking requests.

Before leaving, she wrote a small note in the margin: Excellent service. Please add parking for boxes.
