Graduation Day Has No Perfect Angels

Graduation required each student to describe a mistake and what happened next. Halo worried that this was an unusual way to celebrate achievement.

One student had delivered a message to a cushion. Another had polished a trumpet throughout an entire listening lesson.

Halo admitted to turning somebody else's painting into a project plan.

Professor Fluff nodded at every story. Learning, she said, often looked less impressive from close up.

The certificates did not say PERFECT. They said READY TO KEEP LEARNING.

Halo liked this better after thinking about it. Perfect sounded exhausting and left very little room for tomorrow.

The class celebrated with a modest parade around the garden.

Halo held the gate for everyone.

There was no trumpet, but there was a thank-you, and this time the student knew exactly what to do with it.
