The lost-and-found cupboard held two hats, a scarf, and an unused dramatic entrance. Halo recognized the entrance immediately. It had been misplaced on Tuesday.

The attendant asked for a description.

A little glow, one wave, and an inspiring pause.

That narrowed it down only slightly.

Other students arrived to claim misplaced confidence, an unfinished apology, and a sentence they had forgotten halfway through.

The cupboard was becoming crowded.

Professor Fluff suggested that some things could be replaced instead of recovered. A fresh apology might work better than last week's unfinished one.

Halo left the entrance behind and helped a classmate find a hat.

The attendant marked the entrance available for reuse.

A theater student claimed it immediately and promised to give it the audience it had always believed it deserved.
