The Announcer Calls a Timeout on the Timeout

The Household Games paused for a timeout. Captain Bo used the break to explain the timeout rules.

His explanation took longer than the event.

A second timeout was called so competitors could recover from the first. The announcer began describing the historic significance of this development.

The athletes wandered off to chat. Someone found a comfortable bench. Somebody else shared a joke.

Bo realized that everybody was enjoying the part without the competition.

He put down the microphone and joined them.

For a while, nothing was timed, scored, or ranked.

When the games resumed, the competitors seemed happier.

The judges introduced an official break with no announcements allowed. Bo supported the idea, then almost made an announcement about supporting it.

Professor Duck gently removed the microphone. The crowd applauded the silence.
