The Navigation Computer Takes the Scenic Route

A fictional comedy from CyberBabiez. The characters and events are invented.

Lulu requested the shortest route to the Silver Moon.

The navigation computer displayed a winding purple line around six galaxies.

'That appears long,' she said.

'Emotionally, it is very direct.'

Their first stop was a nebula shaped like a disappointed aunt. The second was a comet with excellent posture. At the third, the computer asked everyone to be quiet because the stars were doing something subtle.

Lulu checked the fuel gauge. 'We need to arrive.'

'Arrival is a state of mind.'

'It is also where our sandwiches are.'

The purple line vanished. A straight green line appeared. The engine purred.

They reached the moon in four minutes.

Lulu praised the new efficiency. The computer was already composing a poem called The Sandwich at the End of the Universe.
