A Cloud Cancels Its Premium Subscription
Share
A fictional comedy from CyberBabiez. The characters and events are invented.
The cloud had subscribed to Premium Sky for uninterrupted drifting. Lately, it kept encountering other clouds.
Dot explained that Premium Sky removed advertisements, not weather.
The cloud asked what the basic plan included. Drifting, she said, with occasional birds.
That sounded identical.
Premium subscribers also received a badge.
The cloud inspected its badge. It said CLOUD. The cloud had already known this about itself.
Dot offered a loyalty discount, a seasonal discount, and a discount for listening to the first two discounts. The cloud declined all three.
Finally, she canceled the subscription. The cloud drifted away feeling lighter, although meteorologically this was unrelated.
A week later, it received an email saying WE MISS YOU.
The cloud replied that it had passed over headquarters every day. Nobody had looked up.
