Dot explained that any key would work. The bear asked why they had printed names on all the others and omitted the important one.
She suggested the space bar. He replied that he was calling from the nursery, not space.
They tried the letter B. A cheerful sound confirmed success.
The next instruction said, Hit return. Mr. Buttons firmly explained that he did not hit things.
Dot rewrote the entire manual in plain language. Press the button with the bent arrow, it now said.
The bear completed setup in forty seconds.
His review praised the support agent and recommended that computers stop speaking in riddles.
