A New Dress Code for People Wearing Bibs

Pip announced business formal Fridays. Mr. Buttons asked whether a bow tie counted. Pip said it did, provided the bow tie had ambition.

The duck arrived wearing nothing but confidence. The truck claimed its wheels were technically shoes.

Pip wore a bib printed with a banana and declared it executive casual. The bear noticed that the dress code seemed suspiciously tailored to whatever Pip already had on.

A committee was formed to clarify the rules. It concluded that stripes were acceptable, spots were acceptable, and the duck was probably acceptable if viewed from a distance.

By Friday afternoon, the staff had spent more time discussing outfits than doing their imaginary jobs.

Pip relaxed the policy. Everyone could wear whatever helped them work comfortably.

Mr. Buttons put away his tiny tie. The duck requested reimbursement for its confidence.
