The Suggestion Box Suggests a Different Boss

The suggestion box was Pip's proudest innovation. Finally, the staff could share honest feedback in a place he could close.

The first note requested fewer bells. The second requested more breaks. The third suggested that Mr. Buttons might enjoy a turn at being boss.

Pip announced that anonymous feedback lacked accountability. He then submitted an anonymous note praising the current leadership. Everyone recognized the purple crayon.

Mr. Buttons proposed a one-afternoon job swap. Pip agreed, expecting a restful time as assistant.

Within ten minutes, he had fetched six blocks, located a missing spoon, and attended a meeting about bell storage.

At closing time, Pip quietly inserted a new suggestion.

Please be nicer to assistants.

The bear approved it immediately. The duck recommended making it company policy.
