The team-building exercise required everyone to describe themselves as a weather pattern. Mr. Buttons chose a mild afternoon. The truck chose traffic. The duck chose duck.

Pip explained that duck was not weather. The duck declined to elaborate.

Next came a trust exercise involving imaginary falls into imaginary arms. The bear performed beautifully. The truck required roadside assistance. The duck remained duck.

Pip worried that the team was not bonding. Mr. Buttons suggested simply sitting together and doing something enjoyable.

They built a tower. The truck delivered blocks, the bear supervised, and the duck occupied the penthouse. Everyone had a lovely time.

Pip immediately named the activity Collaborative Vertical Synergy and created a feedback form.

The duck wrote one word in the comments box.

Nobody was surprised by which word.
