The Neighborhood Ghost Cannot Stop Saying Sorry

A fictional comedy from CyberBabiez. The characters and events are invented.

The ghost practiced a dramatic entrance for the block party. It floated through the doorway, raised its arms, and said sorry.

Zed asked what had gone wrong.

The ghost worried about interrupting. Also, its entrance might create a draft. Also, somebody might have been using the doorway.

They tried again. This time the ghost said boo, followed immediately by a detailed apology.

Zed suggested announcing the entrance in advance. The ghost posted a schedule: friendly boo at three, optional applause afterward.

At three, everyone gathered. The ghost appeared, performed its finest boo, and received a warm round of applause.

It looked delighted.

Then it thanked everyone for their patience.

Zed decided that a considerate ghost was a perfectly good kind of ghost, even if its haunting required a calendar invitation.
