The Quarterly Report Is Mostly Crayon

A fictional comedy from CyberBabiez. The characters and events are invented.

Pip's quarterly report began with a rising purple line. Mr. Buttons asked what it measured.

Purple, Pip explained, by adding more purple.

The second chart showed strong growth in circles. The third showed a dog, possibly. Investors were invited to appreciate the vision rather than ask irritating questions about the axes.

Mr. Buttons pointed out that the company had spent its entire pretend budget on stickers. Pip flipped to the final page. It contained a sticker. This was called supporting evidence.

The duck proposed saving some crayons for next quarter. Pip agreed, then used the green one to underline his agreement seven times.

At the closing bell, everyone received a copy of the report. The copies were all different.

Pip said this demonstrated diversification. Mr. Buttons said he needed a walk.
