The Zombie Book Club Forgot the Book

A fictional comedy from CyberBabiez. The characters and events are invented.

Zed arrived at book club carrying a cushion. He had remembered that something rectangular was required.

The other members brought a calendar, a cereal box, and a book none of them had opened.

They began with the usual question: what did everyone think?

The cushion was comfortable. The calendar had a strong sense of structure. The cereal box ended abruptly but offered a satisfying puzzle on the back.

Nobody wanted to admit they had misunderstood the assignment.

Finally, the librarian asked whether they might simply choose a book together and start reading. Everyone looked relieved.

Zed volunteered his cushion for the reading corner. It became the club's most popular contribution.

The minutes recorded a lively discussion of four texts.

Technically, the cushion's washing label had been quite informative.
